Looking hot in summer
As much as we all look forward to beautiful, hot summer days it does tend to make getting dressed in the morning that much more of a challenge. The desire to stay cool can sometimes override our desire to look stylish, but there are a few tricks to help you get the best of both worlds! So as the mercury continues to climb, below are some stylish ways to beat the heat:
Clingy is a definite no-no on warm weather days. Go for fabrics and cuts that float away from your body- and yes, this look can still look flattering and stylish!
One of the best ways to look stylish but not overheat is to wear open sandals. Wearing closed shoes on really hot days will prevent your body from cooling down. We especially love these super trendy pom pom sandals *sigh*
Showing some skin will definitely keep you cool, but if you’re not on a beach holiday, an off the shoulder top is your best bet for keeping your look appropriate. And did we mention seriously on trend?
Black is a great go-to colour but when it starts heating up, it’s best avoided. Instead mimic the weather and go for whites or brights, which will not only help keep you cool but also look very warm weather appropriate.
A great rule of thumb on scorching days, is to avoid synthetic fabrics that are sure to leave you sweating. Rather opt for pure cotton; we love the simple style of a classic cotton shift dress.
